Job summary

Dalmia Cement in India seeks a Plant Engineer to drive cement production targets and maintain product quality. You will monitor mill process parameters, including throughput, differential pressure, vibration, temperature, and power consumption.

Lead maintenance with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams; plan annual shutdowns, inspections, and corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, monthly, and annual cement production targets while maintaining product quality.
• Monitor and optimize mill process parameters, including throughput, differential pressure, vibration, temperature, separator efficiency, and power consumption.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to maximize equipment availability.
• Plan, execute, and monitor annual shutdowns and major maintenance activities; perform inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance activities through SAP PM, including notifications, work orders, spare parts planning, and maintenance history; perform Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure safety standards and housekeeping; troubleshoot issues such as high vibration, low output, mill trips.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Kiln, Packing Plant and Maintenance for smooth operation.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen and reliability projects; train and monitor shift engineers and CCR officers.
• Responsible for material procurement, consumption and execution plan; engage with VFL and workmen.

• Ensure consistent cement quality by controlling Blaine, residue, and additive proportions. Coordinate preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to maximize equipment availability.
• Plan, execute, and monitor annual shutdowns and major maintenance activities. Perform equipment inspections and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Manage maintenance activities through SAP PM, including notifications, work orders, spare parts planning, and maintenance history. Analyze process and equipment performance, conduct Root Cause Analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping. Lead troubleshooting of operational issues such as high vibration, low output, mill trips etc.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Kiln, Packing Plant and Maintenance departments for smooth plant operation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, reliability improvement, and cost optimization projects. Develop and guide shift engineers and CCR officers by providing technical support, training, and performance monitoring.
• Responsible for the material procurement, consumption and execution plan & also for the VFL engagement with workmen.
