Responsibilities

This is an individual contributor + strategy role. You will be the SEO function at Stockify—setting the direction, executing the work and reporting impact directly to the Co‑Founders and Marketing Lead.

Your ownership spans five pillars:

• Technical SEO – Site health, Core Web Vitals, crawl architecture, schema.
• On‑Page & Content SEO – Keyword strategy, content optimization, topic clusters.
• Off‑Page SEO – Link building, digital PR, domain authority growth.
• AEO & GEO – Visibility on AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, SGE).
• Local & Social SEO – Google Business Profiles, NAP, social discoverability.

Key responsibilities:

• Technical SEO & Site Performance
  • Conduct and own quarterly technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, canonicalization, redirects, broken links and duplicate content.
  • Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), page speed and mobile usability across all page types.
  • Implement and maintain structured data / schema markup—Organization, FAQ, Product, BreadcrumbList, FinancialProduct—with a focus on rich result eligibility.
  • Maintain XML sitemaps, robots.txt and ensure SEO best practices are embedded into every new release: Stock Screener, Annual Reports, Price List, Blog and Company Pages.
  • Collaborate with developers to ship fixes with measurable before/after impact.
• On‑Page & Content SEO
  • Own keyword research and mapping across the unlisted shares, pre‑IPO investing, ESOP liquidation and SME IPO space—both informational and transactional intent.
  • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, H‑tag hierarchy, internal linking, content depth and URL structure across all site sections.
  • Build and maintain topic clusters and pillar pages around core investment themes: unlisted share prices, pre‑IPO investing, company profiles and market education.
  • Brief, review and optimize SEO‑driven articles and landing pages in collaboration with content writers—embedding E‑E‑A‑T signals throughout.
  • Identify and resolve content cannibalization, thin content and underperforming pages with a clear improvement or consolidation plan.
• AEO & GEO — AI Search Visibility
  • Develop and own Stockify's strategy for being cited and surfaced by AI answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews (SGE), Gemini and Bing Copilot.
  • Structure content for featured snippets, answer boxes, PAA (People Also Ask) and conversational queries—especially for investment and company research queries.
  • Track brand citation and mention share across generative search platforms; build a repeatable AEO/GEO playbook with documented wins.
  • Identify which content formats earn the most AI citations in the fintech and investment vertical—definitions, comparison tables, step‑by‑step guides, data pages—and systematically scale them.
• Off‑Page SEO & Authority Building
  • Design and execute link‑building campaigns: digital PR, data‑led content, expert commentary, finance directories and niche listing sites.
  • Manage backlink profile health: continuous monitoring, toxic link identification, disavow file maintenance and competitive link gap analysis.
  • Build relationships with finance and investment media, newsletters and aggregators to earn high‑DR editorial links.
  • Track domain authority, referring domain growth and link quality metrics with a clear ROI view per campaign.
• Local SEO & Social Discoverability
  • Own and actively manage Google Business Profile listings across all Stockify locations—Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, Kolkata and Dubai.
  • Maintain NAP consistency, respond to reviews, publish regular GBP posts and optimize categories, Q&A and service attributes.
  • Apply SEO best practices across social profiles—LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube: profile optimization, keyword usage and content discoverability.
• Analytics, Reporting & Competitor Intelligence
  • Define and own SEO KPIs: organic sessions, keyword rankings, impressions, CTR, conversions and AI‑citation share.
  • Maintain live dashboards in GA4 and Google Search Console; deliver clean monthly reports to the leadership team.
  • Run ongoing competitor analysis—track ranking movements, content gaps and backlink strategies against UnlistedZone, Planify, InCred Markets and other unlisted‑share platforms.
  • Translate data into a prioritized monthly action plan, not just a status update.

Qualifications

Non‑negotiables—every item must be provable in your application:

• Min 5–8 years of hands‑on, end‑to‑end SEO experience—ideally on a fintech, finance or investment website.
• Proven technical SEO execution: you have run audits, found critical issues and shipped fixes—bring an example.
• Expert‑level Google Search Console and GA4; proficient in Ahrefs, SEMrush or Screaming Frog.
• Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript rendering and how they affect crawling and indexation.
• Demonstrated AEO / GEO understanding—you know how AI search works and have experimented with optimizing for it.
• Hands‑on link building—you have built links, not just audited them.
• Experience managing Google Business Profiles for multi‑location businesses.
• Analytically sharp and commercially minded—you translate rankings into traffic and traffic into revenue.
• Strong written communication—you can brief a writer, write a meta or explain a crawl issue to a developer without switching modes.

Good to Have:

• Direct experience in fintech, capital markets, wealth management or pre‑IPO/unlisted share platforms.
• Familiarity with SEBI guidelines and compliance sensitivities of financial content in India.
• Experience with Looker Studio, Python scripts or automation tools for SEO workflows.
