Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking developers to build scalable services and API integrations for a rapidly evolving platform. You will own end-to-end functionality, work with Python, asyncio, and event-driven patterns, and operate large-scale applications on AWS.

Android background is a plus, with strong DB skills (MongoDB/Redis/PostgreSQL) and solid CS fundamentals. We value autonomous ownership, continuous learning, and contributions to open-source.

Qualifications

• Experience developing consumer-facing web/app products.
• Hands-on Python experience with asyncio, generators and event-driven use cases.
• Proficient in async programming using Callbacks, Promises and Async/Await.
• Android development background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB, Redis and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and operating systems.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, CloudFront, S3).
• Frontend stack knowledge (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
• Willing to learn new tools with guidance and resources.
• Ability to own end-to-end tasks in a startup environment.

What will you do at the company?

Build scalable services to extend our platform

• Build bulletproof API integrations with third-party APIs for various use cases
• Evolve our Infrastructure and add a few more nines to our overall availability
• Have full autonomy and own your code, and decide on the technologies and tools to deliver as well operate large-scale applications on AWS
• Give back to the open-source community through contributions on code and blog posts
• This is a startup so everything can change as we experiment with more product improvements

Some specific Requirements:

You know how to take ownership on things and get it done end to end

• You have prior experience developing and working on consumer-facing web/app products
• Hands‑on experience in Python, know in depth on asyncio, generators and use case in event driven scenario
• Through knowledge of async programming using Callbacks, Promises, and Async/Await
• Someone from an Andriod development background would be preferred.
• Good Working knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating Systems
• You've worked with AWS services in the past and have experience with EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, CloudFront, S3
• Experience with Frontend Stack would be added advantage (HTML, CSS)
• You might not have experience with all the tools that we use but you can learn those given the guidance and resources
