You are:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join the DIA engineering team in Bangalore. The candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering core platform capabilities including annotation tooling (Caplier), EPIC 260 and Customer dashboards, and integrations with upstream/downstream systems such as Lab MES and other enterprise applications. This role requires strong hands‑on Python expertise, experience with production-grade microservices, and the ability to work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced, evolving‑requirements environment.

The Opportunity:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, high‑performance Python‑based backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Build and maintain integrations across multiple internal and external applications (e.g., Lab MES, EPIC 260 Dashboard, Customer Dashboard, MyDemo).

• Collaborate with architects and technical leads on solution design, EPIC planning, and technical requirements gathering.

• Implement observability best practices (logging, metrics, tracing) using frameworks such as OpenTelemetry to monitor API health and map service dependencies.

• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.

• Write unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.

• Debug and resolve production issues, including performance bottlenecks and dependency failures.

• Work with relational/NoSQL databases for data modeling, query design, and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with DevOps on containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud deployment.

• Actively participate in workshops covering business requirements, current process challenges, and solution design discussions.

What are we Looking for:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 6-9 years of overall software development experience, with 7+ years hands‑on in Python.

• Strong experience with Python frameworks (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

• Hands‑on experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is a strong plus.

• Familiarity with event‑driven systems/message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) preferred.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

• Strong grasp of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills.

• Prior experience integrating with MES or lab systems is a plus.

• Willingness and ability to work 5 days WFO in Bangalore.
