Job summary

Angel One is seeking an experienced SDE 3 Backend to join its fast-growing fintech platform in Bengaluru. You will drive backend system design, implement scalable services, and contribute to architecture decisions that power real-time trading and investing tools.

You will work with Java, Python or Golang, optimize for low latency, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product and data teams. The role emphasizes ownership, velocity, and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science with 5-8 years of experience building large scalable systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on programming experience in backend languages like Java, Python or Golang.
• Experience designing distributed systems.
• Expertise in low latency and high throughput system design, including HLD/LLD.
• Familiarity with 12-factor app guidelines.
• Metrics-oriented with a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on coding for complex paths and components.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of components for the products.
• Design APIs, RPCs and streamline topologies for simplicity and efficiency.

What you will do:

• Hands-on coding - code the hairiest most complicated paths/components
• Contribute to the design and architecture of components for the products.
• Craft APIs, RPCs and streamlining topologies which are simple, and efficient
• Mentor engineers in the team

Who you are:

• Degree in computer science field with 5-8 years of experience building large scalable systems
• Excellent computer science including data structures and algorithms. Hands-on programming experience in languages like Java, Python or Golang for backend roles.
• Good understanding of designing Distributed Systems
• Problem solving / analytical skills
• Low Latency and High Throughput System design, HLD and LLD.
• Exposure to high level hygiene guidelines like the one described in 12-factor app
• Metrics obsession
