Job summary

ABACUS is seeking an experienced Scrum Master – Software to facilitate Agile software development for cross-functional teams in Chennai, India. This servant leader guides ceremonies, removes impediments, and drives continuous improvement across the SDLC to deliver scalable software.

You will coach Product Owners and engineers, coordinate with DevOps, QA, and Architecture, and ensure delivery predictability in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as Scrum Master for software development teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and Lean practices.
• Excellent leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach teams on Scrum, Agile, and Lean practices to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to manage backlogs, priorities, and sprint goals.
• Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments across teams.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams to align delivery.
• Support release planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor Agile metrics and drive improvements in productivity and predictability.
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Job Title: Scrum Master – Software

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master – Software to facilitate Agile software development and help engineering teams deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role serves as a servant leader, Agile coach, and delivery facilitator for one or more cross-functional software development teams. Working closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Engineering Managers, the Software Scrum Master ensures the successful execution of Agile ceremonies, removes delivery impediments, improves team performance, and promotes continuous improvement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software, SaaS platforms, cloud-native applications, or digital products.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies for cross-functional engineering teams.
• Excellent leadership, facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Experience working in fast-paced Agile software environments.
• Willing to work in 24/7 environment

Preferred experience

• CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification.
• Experience with cloud/software development environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Git, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Experience working with multiple Agile teams or enterprise applications.
