Job summary

Tekskills seeks a Senior Scrum Master for the Systems team in Pune. You will guide cross‑functional teams in Agile practice to ensure high‑quality technical delivery. This is a 1‑year contract with extension, in a hybrid setup (3 days WFO, 2 days WFH) and shift 1:30 PM–10:30 PM IST.

Requirements: 10+ years’ experience, a Bachelor’s in CS or Engineering, and Scrum Master Certification (CSM/PSM). You will facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, groom backlogs, coordinate releases, and monitor

Project Overview

The scrum master will work in the Systems team of TA Solution Train. System team will be responsible for delivering cross cutting common libraries to enable other capabilities to deliver business values. Contractors Role: To guide and support our cross-functional development teams in Agile practices, ensuring high-quality delivery of technical solutions. Experience Level: L3 : 10 +yrs (Relevant Experience 5+ Years)

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives for globally distributed teams.
• Remove impediments and coach the team to develop solutions autonomously.
• Ensure team adherence to Agile values and principles while driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and well-groomed backlog.
• Collaborate with engineering leads to plan and coordinate releases, ensuring technical dependencies are identified and managed.
• Monitor and report on key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time).
• Promote DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, and test-driven development.
• Champion Agile best practices across engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Help implement and optimize Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Guide teams through complex problem-solving involving architecture, design, or technical constraints.

Must have Skills

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience working closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, and product owners.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM) required.

Nice to have Skills

• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Background in software engineering or systems architecture.
• Experience in scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
• Technical certifications (AWS, Azure, or relevant engineering certs).
