We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and detail-oriented School Accountant to join our administrative team and manage the school's day-to-day financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, managing fee collections, supporting payroll activities, and providing reliable financial information to the school administration.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and reconcile accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and financial documentation.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and reports for school management.

Fee Collection & Follow-Up
  • Manage the complete school fee collection process, including invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records of fee collections, outstanding balances, and student accounts.
  • Follow up with parents/guardians regarding overdue fees.
  • Coordinate and monitor approved payment plans and ensure timely collections.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding fee policies, payment schedules, and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the administrative team to resolve fee-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Prepare regular fee collection and outstanding-fee reports for management.
Payroll, PF & PT Compliance
  • Assist with monthly payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Assist in the preparation, calculation, and timely filing of Provident Fund (PF) and Professional Tax (PT) returns.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of PF and PT contributions.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date employee records related to PF, PT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor applicable statutory regulations and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants or authorities when necessary.
Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and school financial policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial and employee information.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required records and documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies or financial issues and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by school management.
