Virtual Building Studio Inc. seeks a skilled Scan to BIM Engineer to convert laser scans into coordinated BIM models. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with LiDAR data, Revit, and BIM workflows. You will produce architectural, structural, and MEP models and ensure adherence to project standards.

The candidate must work with point-cloud data, validate models, and coordinate across disciplines to maintain accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Scan-to-BIM / BIM modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Experience working with Point Cloud / RCP / RCS data.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Understanding of BIM workflows, modeling standards, and LOD.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of construction and building components.
• Strong attention to detail and model accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop accurate Scan-to-BIM models from point clouds and survey data.
• Create and modify BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
• Work with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and relevant BIM/point-cloud software.
• Prepare BIM models according to LOD and program-specific standards.
• Perform model validation and quality checks against point-cloud data.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Identify discrepancies, clashes, and modeling issues.
• Prepare BIM drawings, sections, elevations, schedules, and documentation where required.
• Follow project BIM standards, naming conventions, templates, and workflows.
• Coordinate with project managers, survey teams, engineers, and clients.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency of models throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description – Scan to BIM / BIM ACS Engineer

Position: Scan to BIM / BIM ACS Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scan to BIM / BIM ACS Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Scan-to-BIM, point-cloud processing, and BIM modeling. The candidate will be responsible for converting laser scan/point-cloud data into accurate and coordinated BIM models and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and analyze LiDAR / laser scan / point-cloud data.
• Develop accurate Scan-to-BIM models from point clouds and survey data.
• Create and modify BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP elements as required.
• Work with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and relevant BIM/point-cloud software.
• Prepare BIM models according to LOD and program‑specific standards.
• Perform model validation and quality checks against point‑cloud data.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

• Understanding of BIM workflows, modeling standards, and LOD.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ReCap / point‑cloud processing software.
• Knowledge of Revit Families and BIM standards.
• Experience with Scan‑to‑BIM projects for existing buildings.
• Knowledge of clash detection and coordination.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards and project requirements.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Education

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering/design field.
• Relevant professional experience in BIM/Scan‑to‑BIM will also be considered.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong, detail‑oriented, and capable of delivering accurate BIM models from point‑cloud data within project deadlines.
