Job summary

Virtual Building Studio is seeking an experienced Sr. BIM Architect to lead BIM operations for USA-based architectural projects.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure adherence to BIM standards, and drive project delivery from inception to completion at Ahmedabad. The role requires strong technical leadership, client liaison, and a track record of process improvements using Revit, Navisworks, and ACC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BIM architecture with leadership and project management.
• Proven ability to deliver international projects, preferably USA-based.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards and US construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM Architecture projects from initiation to final delivery, adhering to USA BIM standards and client requirements.
• Oversee development, coordination, and execution of BIM models using Revit and related tools.
• Establish BEP, LOD requirements, standards, and workflows for projects.
• Manage schedules, resources, productivity, and profitability for successful delivery.
• Mentor and develop BIM teams including assistants and modelers.
• Conduct regular reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Implement QA/QC processes and perform audits to maintain model accuracy and deliverables.
• Oversee clash detection, coordination reviews, and constructability analyses using Navisworks.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Act as primary client contact, maintaining relationships and satisfaction.
• Drive BIM automation and standardization to improve processes.
• Support business development through technical discussions and proposals.

The role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic leadership, client management, and operational excellence. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing BIM project delivery, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with US standards, driving

process improvements, and maintaining high-quality project outcomes. This position plays a key role in business growth, resource planning, team development, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage BIM Architecture projects from project initiation through final delivery while ensuring adherence to USA BIM standards and client requirements.
• Oversee the development, coordination, and execution of BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other BIM technologies.
• Establish project execution strategies, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Level of Development (LOD) requirements, standards, and workflows.
• Manage project schedules, resource allocation, productivity, and project profitability to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop BIM teams, including Assistant Managers, Team Leads, and BIM Modelers.
• Conduct regular project reviews, performance evaluations, and technical guidance sessions to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure implementation of QA/QC processes and conduct audits to maintain model accuracy, compliance, and deliverable quality.
• Oversee clash detection, coordination reviews, constructability analysis, and conflict resolution using Navisworks and related tools.
• Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Drive innovation through BIM automation, process optimization, standardization, and implementation of new technologies.
• Support business development activities by participating in technical discussions, proposal preparation, capability presentations, and client meetings.
• Monitor project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, BIM protocols, industry best practices, and US construction regulations.
• Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to enhance organizational capabilities.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced expertise in Autodesk Revit for BIM modeling, documentation, and project coordination.
• Strong understanding of US Architectural Codes, Construction Standards, and BIM Requirements.
• Extensive experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, AutoCAD, and related BIM technologies.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple projects.
