Job summary

Virtual Building Studio Inc. seeks a Scan-to-BIM / BIM ACS Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience to convert laser scans into accurate BIM models.

You will handle LiDAR/point-cloud data and develop BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks. Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience in Scan-to-BIM and BIM modeling.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience with Point Cloud data (LiDAR/RCP/RCS).
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Navisworks for coordination.
• Understanding of BIM workflows, modeling standards, and LOD.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and model accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scan to BIM / BIM ACS Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Scan-to-BIM, point-cloud processing, and BIM modeling. The candidate will be responsible for converting laser scan/point-cloud data into accurate and coordinated BIM models and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and analyze LiDAR / laser scan / point-cloud data.
• Develop accurate Scan-to-BIM models from point clouds and survey data.
• Create and modify BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP elements as required.
• Work with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and relevant BIM/point-cloud software.
• Prepare BIM models according to LOD and project-specific standards.
• Perform model validation and quality checks against point-cloud data.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ReCap / point-cloud processing software.
• Knowledge of Revit Families and BIM standards.
• Experience with Scan-to-BIM projects for existing buildings.
• Knowledge of clash detection and coordination.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards and project requirements.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Education

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering/design field.
• Relevant professional experience in BIM/Scan-to-BIM will also be considered.
