A bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field is mandatory. Candidates must combine this academic foundation with demonstrated enterprise technology sales accomplishment, an understanding of customer business priorities and the ability to communicate SAP-related solution value. An MBA or advanced business education is preferred, rather than a substitute for the mandatory sales experience. No additional mandatory certification is specified for this position.
Candidates must have 1520 years of enterprise technology sales experience, including at least 10 years selling SAP-related solutions or services. At least 5 years must be in a sales leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing sales teams. These experience requirements apply together; the specialist and leadership experience may overlap within the total career experience.
Relevant experience must include closing large, complex enterprise deals, managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Candidates should demonstrate direct ownership of enterprise opportunities alongside responsibility for team results. Experience managing large enterprise accounts and developing relationships across business and technical decision-makers is required. Experience specifically selling SAP Testing, Quality Engineering, Test Automation or DevOps solutions is preferred. The customer scope covers large and mid-market enterprises across industries; no single customer industry is prescribed.
Strong understanding of SAP business applications and landscapes is required, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP FICO, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba and SAP CRM. Candidates must understand how SAP transformation initiatives, migrations and upgrades create application testing and quality assurance needs, and must translate those needs into meaningful commercial discussions. The position requires sales-oriented domain understanding and effective collaboration with technical specialists.
Essential functional capabilities include consultative selling, enterprise prospecting, opportunity qualification, account planning, executive presentations, proposal development, commercial negotiation and contract closure. CRM proficiency, pipeline management, opportunity tracking, quarterly forecasting and sales performance reporting are required. Candidates must connect customer business priorities with solution value and coordinate effectively with pre-sales, solution architecture, delivery, customer success and marketing teams throughout the customer lifecycle.
The role requires executive-level communication, presentation and negotiation skills; strong relationship building; and the ability to engage both business and technical audiences. Candidates must demonstrate strategic thinking, commercial judgment, analytical decision-making and problem-solving. A proactive approach to prospecting and closing, personal accountability for results, entrepreneurial initiative and cross-functional collaboration are essential. Leadership capability must include motivating sales professionals, giving practical coaching and developing a culture of consistent performance and customer focus.
Preferred credentials include an MBA or advanced business education. Additional strengths include experience selling SAP Testing, Quality Engineering, Test Automation or DevOps solutions; exposure to SAP test automation platforms; knowledge of enterprise testing methodologies and QA practices; and familiarity with migration, upgrade and transformation projects. Experience applying MEDDIC, SPIN Selling or Challenger Sales is advantageous. These preferences supplement the mandatory qualifications, total experience, specialist selling experience and leadership requirements.
The expected background shows progression from enterprise sales execution into sales leadership while retaining personal prospecting and closing capability. Relevant prior organizations include enterprise software businesses, IT services providers, SAP services firms and testing or quality engineering solution providers with established enterprise customers. Candidates should substantiate individual revenue contributions, enterprise deal ownership, team development and account expansion through specific career examples. A strong network across the SAP ecosystem, consulting firms and enterprise customers is valuable; no named prior employer is required.
Compensation will be considered in relation to relevant professional experience. Approved benefits and final offer terms will be discussed during the final HR or offer discussion.
