Job summary

DMart is seeking an experienced data governance and master data management professional to lead MDM initiatives in Thane. You will drive data quality, establish protocols, and coordinate with business units and IT.

The role requires strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities include leading SAP master data records, defining data management standards, and shaping roadmaps for information management while ensuring timely, formatted data

• Demonstrable working experience in related data discipline.
• Deep understanding of master data management, data governance, and associated technologies.
• Proven experience in establishing and operationalizing data management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Primary lead for managing master data records within SAP
• Ensure that all data entry takes place in required format, error free and on time
• Responsible for Data Governance and work in conjunction with data team to define protocols and standards for maintaining data
• Establish and implement (master) data management capabilities and best practices aligned with the business, Digital Transformation and Data & Analytics goals and priorities
• Establish consistent metrics to measure quality of data and implemented solutions
• Understand the technology landscape of transactional systems, data management and master data layer, to analytics and consuming applications
• Lead and own the relationship with software vendor(s) and Managed Service Providers supporting MDM initiatives
• Contribute to roadmaps for Data / Information Management
• Define and own relevant data management principles and policies
• Leverage the business to understand the data needs, data dependencies and identify opportunities for business process standardization, ensuring high employee engagement and managing staff career progression
• Identify risks and drive continuous improvements in data management through technological innovation, operational improvement, and championing adoption
• Maintain in-depth industry knowledge regarding best practices and technology advancements

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Demonstrable working experience in related data discipline

2. Deep understanding of master data management, data governance, and associated technologies

3. Proven experience in establishing and operationalizing data management capabilities

1. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to translate ideas into practical implementation
2. Ability to manage stakeholder relationships including team members, vendors and partners
3. Excellent communication skills with ability to present and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audience
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and resolution of issues
