Job summary

Dormer Pramet in India seeks a seasoned SAP Competence Center Manager to align ERP solutions with business strategy and enterprise architecture. You will lead the SAP ERP program, mentor the team, and drive cross-functional delivery across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Production and HR.

You’ll report to ITVP, manage vendors, and plan releases while ensuring system availability and compliance. Fluent English and 15+ years SAP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field; 15+ years SAP ERP experience (R3, S/4 HANA).
• Strong business acumen with a customer-centric approach.
• Experience in product management.
• Proficient in SAP modules FICO/SD/MM/PP; SAP BPC/IBP.
• Familiar with RISE and SAP Commerce Cloud.
• Proficient in agile methodologies.
• Fluent English; excellent communication skills.
• SAP certifications preferred.

About the role

This Managerial Role is part of IT Management Team. As SAP Competence Center Manager, you report to ITVP directly and work closely with BPO team, delivering insightful analysis and action-focused technical solution. You lead strategic technical planning and processes. You conduct relevant and actionable analysis to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the entire SAP ERP solution, ensuring synergy among platform products.
• Conduct product management in close collaboration with projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on designing relevant business solutions for Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, HR, etc.
• Lead and mentor team members in assessing and estimating SAP ERP solutions for execution.
• Coach team members on utilizing SAP standard functions effectively and explore the system's potential for improving business operations.
• Lead and manage team members to deliver agreed-upon solutions within SAP ERP.
• Act as an IT project manager for related areas as necessary.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiations for project/change/service delivery within the SAP ERP domain.
• Maintain and monitor the system as a system owner to ensure its availability and efficiency.
• Communicate system performance effectively with stakeholders.
• Continuously improve the system to offer better solutions and services to the business.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budget control for SAP ERP investments.
• Drive the decommissioning of legacy SAP ERP systems.
• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize features with a product mindset.
• Plan and manage releases of system products.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication for smooth operations.
• Ensure the system maintains a secure status.
• Conduct regular SAP audits to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards in SAP management and procedures.

About You

• Degree in a relevant field and previous experience as a IT SAP Competence Center Lead would be an advantage.
• Possess strong business acumen with a customer-centric approach.
• 15+ years of SAP ERP experience (R3, S/4 HANA) including implementation, maintenance, and support.
• Demonstrable product management experience.
• Familiarity with SAP products and pricing models.
• Knowledge of FICO/SD/MM/PP modules, SAP BPC, SAP IBP.
• Experience with RISE and SAP Commerce Cloud is advantageous.
• Proficient in agile methodologies.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certifications related to SAP are preferred.
