Job summary

Fractal India is seeking a seasoned SAP BW professional to support and enhance BW/BW on HANA and BW/4HANA environments. The role includes production support, data modeling, data extraction, and BW modernization initiatives.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure stable BW operations, develop end-to-end BW flows, and document architectures and migrations. Experience in BW inventory, performance tuning, and governance is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BW 7.x / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA architecture.
• Strong data modeling and data loading skills in BW environments.
• Hands-on experience with BW objects, BEx queries, and data extraction workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA environments.
• Monitor and resolve issues in Process Chains, Data Loads, DTPs, InfoPackages, and data extraction.
• Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, load failures, authorization issues, and reporting problems.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
• Coordinate transports across Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Work with Basis, ABAP, Functional, and Infrastructure teams.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end BW flows; troubleshoot routines.

SAP BW Support & Maintenance

• Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA environments.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to Process Chains, Data Loads, DTPs,InfoPackages, and data extraction.
• Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, load failures, authorization issues, and reporting problems.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
• Monitor BW job performance and optimizedata loading processes.
• Coordinate transports across Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Work closely with Basis, ABAP, Functional, and Infrastructure teams.

Enhancements & Development

• Develop and maintain the end-to-end flow in the BW system
• Develop and troubleshoot Start, End, Field, and Expert Routines.
• Support BExQueries and reporting enhancements.
• Perform performance tuning of BW objects and queries.

BW Inventory Assessment & Rationalization

• Perform comprehensive inventory of SAP BW landscapes.
• Document BW objects
• Analyze object dependencies and end-to-end data lineage.
• Identify unused, obsolete, and redundant BW objects.
• Support application rationalization and BW cleanup initiatives.
• Document custom developments and embedded business logic.
• Assist in preparing migration readiness assessments for BW modernization/BW exit programs.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
• Maintain inventory reports and dependency documentation.
• Participate in architecture reviews and modernization workshops.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and governance processes.
