Job summary

Rigved Technologies in Bangalore is seeking an experienced SAP BW/BODS consultant to lead data warehousing and reporting initiatives. You will collaborate with business and IT teams, gather requirements, and design functional specifications for BW solutions.

The role requires hands-on ABAP/AMDP development, BODS job design, scheduling, and production support, plus strong English communication to interact with EU customers.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand and address SAP BW-related requirements and issues.
• Key role in the analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Business Warehouse applications and front-end reports.
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and design functional specifications for data warehousing and reporting solutions.
• Maintain a clear understanding of the potential impacts of proposed solutions on other areas of the system and/or project.
• Implement and ensure adherence to architecture guidelines, security standards, and best practices in SAP BW solutions.
• Ensure BW solutions align with major stakeholders' KPI standards and long-term roadmaps.
• Collaborate with the administration team for system maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Good knowledge in writing code BW-ABAP and AMDP (Code Push down) as well as debugging and code changes are must.
• Perform job scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and error analysis
• Manage and monitor BODS environments using Central Management Console (CMC).
• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows.
• Troubleshoot SQL Transform-based solutions within BODS

SAP BW/BODS Job Description

Responsibilities

• Intermediate functional knowledge on the enterprise modules like Sales and Distribution, Finance.

Technical

• 9-11 years of experience in SAP BW (BW 7.5, BW4HANA, BW on HANA, Hybrid Modelling) and reporting solutions.
• Strong experience in BW reporting, extraction, and modeling, with at least two end-to-end implementations.
• Expertise in ABAP and AMDP for BW, including Start, End, Expert, and Field-level routines, as well as debugging skills.
• Experience in gathering requirements for BI reporting solutions, including data visualization.
• Hands-on experience in Bex queries, including variables, customer exits, filters, conditions, and selections.
• Ability to document technical designs and BI solutions in high-level and detailed design documents.
• Process chain monitoring, incident/service requests and CR handling, housekeeping, transport management
• Good knowledge in FICO, SD, MM Module to understand the customer requirement to technical solution
• SAP certification in BW4 is additional advantage.
• Experience in job scheduling, monitoring, and production support and good understanding of Central Management Console (CMC) administration and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in developing medium-complexity jobs, workflows, and dataflows and understanding of highly complex jobs
• Working knowledge of using BAPI functions in BODS, exposure to concept of nested schema in query transforms.
• Good knowledge of SQL, including: DDL, DML, Joins, Subqueries, Views
• Good understanding of source-to-target mappings and data integration concepts
• Familiarity with BODS Designer navigation, repositories and datastore configurations
