Job summary

Sopra Steria Group in India is seeking an experienced ABAP professional (8-10 years) to deliver SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions. You will handle WRICEF objects, OOABAP, IDOCs, CDS views, and contribute to performance tuning and integration efforts.

The role demands strong functional knowledge of SAP SD, MM, FI, CO, and capability to lead teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced setup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA ABAP with WRICEF, OOABAP, IDOCs, ABAP New Syntax, CDS views and AMDP.
• Functional knowledge of SAP SD, MM, FI, CO with strong analytical skills and testing experience.
• Proven leadership, mentoring of junior developers and team coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with multitasking in fast-paced environments.
• Exposure to Fiori/UI5 is preferred.

• Develop, document and execute Unit, System, Integration and UAT testing.
• Drive discussions to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Job Description

ABAP S4HANA (8 to 10 years)

1. Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP with expertise in WRICEF objects, OOABAP, IDOCs, ABAP New Syntax, CDS Views, AMDP, and BTP; exposure to Fiori/UI5 is preferred.
2. Good functional knowledge of SAP SD, MM, FI, and CO with strong analytical skills, technical specification writing, and experience in developing, documenting, and executing Unit, System, Integration, and UAT testing.
3. Proven expertise in performance tuning, application support, issue resolution, peer reviews, and identifying optimal technical solutions by challenging existing designs and proposing better alternatives.
4. Experience in driving business requirement discussions, translating requirements into best-fit technical solutions, and ensuring timely resolution of issues by effectively prioritizing and mobilizing teams.
5. Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring junior developers, leading small to mid-sized teams, and applying basic project management concepts.
6. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills with the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
