Job summary

Sopra Steria USA in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SAP ABAP developer to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions across MM and related modules, with strong ABAP fundamentals, DDIC, reports, interfaces, enhancements, BADIs and BAPIs.

You will work in agile Scrum/SAFe environments with cross-functional, distributed teams, leveraging SAP UI5 and SAP integration technologies (ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, OData) and a focus on performance and code quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on SAP ABAP development with strong knowledge of SAP processes.
• ABAP development including DDIC, reports, interfaces, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs and forms.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies such as ALE/IDOC, RFC, proxies and OData.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA and MM module; SAP UI5 is a plus.
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience in Agile Scrum/SAFe with focus on delivering SAP solutions.

Job Description

Qualification & Experience:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP business processes, technical architecture, best practices, and customer-facing project experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP development including DDIC, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, Forms, along with excellent debugging, root cause analysis, performance optimization, source code auditing, and code improvement.
• Hands-on experience in SAP integration technologies such as ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, and OData services.
• Good exposure to S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and functional/technical knowledge of the SAP MM module; experience in SAP UI5 is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in international, distributed, cross-functional teams using an agile mindset.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum/SAFe methodologies, with responsibility across development, issue resolution, performance improvements, and delivering high-quality customer-focused SAP solutions.
