Job summary

Sopra Steria India Limited is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Module Lead in Bengaluru. The role requires 4+ years of hands-on ABAP development, strong knowledge of SAP MM, S/4HANA exposure, and experience with SAP integration (ALE/IDOC, RFC, OData). Candidates should be comfortable working in an international, distributed, cross-functional team with an agile mindset.

The ideal candidate has strong debugging, performance tuning, and communication skills, and is ready to work in Europe shift as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development with understanding of SAP business processes and project experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP including DDIC, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, Forms with debugging and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience in SAP integration technologies such as ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, and OData services.
• Exposure to S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and knowledge of SAP MM; SAP UI5 experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills for working in international, distributed, cross-functional teams using Agile mindset.
• Experience in Agile Scrum/SAFe with responsibility across development, issue resolution and delivering high-quality SAP solutions.

Job Description

Qualification & Experience:

4+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP business processes, technical architecture, best practices, and customer‑facing project experience. Strong expertise in ABAP development including DDIC, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, Forms, along with excellent debugging, root cause analysis, performance optimization, source code auditing, and code improvement. Hands‑on experience in SAP integration technologies such as ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, and OData services. Good exposure to S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA , and functional/technical knowledge of the SAP MM module ; experience in SAP UI5 is an added advantage. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in international, distributed, cross‑functional teams using an agile mindset. Experience working in Agile Scrum/SAFe methodologies , with responsibility across development, issue resolution, performance improvements, and delivering high‑quality customer‑focused SAP solutions.

Total Experience Expected: 04-06 years
