Job summary

Sopra Steria Group in India seeks an experienced SAP lead to steer SAP ECC and S/4HANA initiatives across client environments. You will mentor SAP teams, manage delivery timelines, budgets, resources, and ensure high‑quality solutions from design to deployment.

Key expertise includes ABAP on HANA, Fiori/UI5, OData/Gateway, RICEF objects, and strong stakeholder management. Knowledge of Agile ways and GCC collaboration is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/MCA with 12–14 years of hands-on experience in SAP Implantation/AMS Projects
• Led SAP teams including Basis, Developers and Functional consultants
• Experience with SAP implementations, upgrades and migrations from planning to delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP operations: design, configuration, performance tuning, monitoring and security of SAP systems (ECC‑On Prem, S/4HANA)
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources; ensure delivery quality
• Coordinate with business units, leadership and GCCs; align technical strategy with business goals
• Drive process improvements, define standards, procedures and best practices for SAP operations
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations

Job Description

• Candidate must have strong understanding of SAP S4HANA
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide SAP technical teams (Basis, Developers, Functional)
• Project Management: Oversee SAP implementation, upgrade, and migration projects from planning to delivery, managing timelines, budgets, and resources
• Solution Design: Provide technical expertise for designing and enhancing SAP solutions to meet business needs
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with business units, leadership, and external partners, managing expectations and aligning technical strategy
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, defining standards, procedures, and best practices for SAP operations. Good understanding of Agile methodology and real experience
• Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry regulations
• Technical Oversight: Ensure proper configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, security, and maintenance (patching, backups) of SAP systems (ECC‑On Prem, S/4HANA)
• Core Tech Skills: strong knowledge of RICEF objects & OOPs programming
• Hands‑on experience around ABAP on HANA, Output Management and OData/Gateway
• Implementation knowledge of standard and custom Fiori App (UI5)
• Must be able to manage customer independently, exposure to work with GCC (Global Competency Centres) and local customers will be added advantage
• Exposure to managing Project financials & should be aware of support processes
