Job summary

DMart seeks an experienced SAP ABAP lead with 8–10 years of hands-on ABAP and some management experience. The role covers SAP ABAP, PI, FIORI, EP and SOLMAN, with strong interfaces to non-SAP systems.

You will guide ABAP development, ensure secure interfaces, and drive continuous improvement across SAP landscapes. The candidate should exhibit strong troubleshooting, ITIL awareness, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SAP ABAP with knowledge of other SAP systems like PI, FIORI, EP, SOLMAN.
• Hands-on in ABAP skills: ALE, IDOC, Module Pools, Reports, Forms, Enhancements, Interfaces with non-SAP systems.
• Experience with BTP, Integration Suite is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; good ITIL understanding.
• Knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, ISO/CMM and software testing certifications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP ABAP tech module; ensure SAP programs & interfaces are reliable and secure with best coding practices.
• Improve design, maintenance & support in ABAP, BTP, Integration Suite across SAP landscapes.
• Ensure timely enhancement, maintenance & support, handle escalations and monitor performance.
• Determine RCA and plan improvements; maintain SLAs and IT configuration documents.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage to meet project deadlines.

Job description

EXPERIENCE 8 -10 years of experience in SAP ABAP along with some management experience.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• SAP ABAP support experience preferably in retail /logistics company with

preferably min 3 years of domain experience

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with team

members, partner teams, management personnel, and end users

throughout the organization

• Ability to consistently meet and exceed expectations and incorporate

customer service into all aspects of work.

• Self-driven and motivated candidate
• Ability to work with various system support teams from different domains

(Wintel OS, MS SQL Database, SAP BASIS, systems hardware, networking, /etc.) as well as individually to effectively manage IT personnel, set priorities & drive excellence in SAP operation initiatives

• Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of ITIL principles and processes

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• One of the leads for SAP ABAP tech module; ensuring that orgs SAP

programs & interfaces work reliably and securely and with best practices for coding with comments.

• Work to continuously improve design, technical maintenance & support in

the SAP ABAP, BTP, Integration Suite area for the SAP system landscapes

• Ensure timely enhancement, maintenance & support, handle escalations,

resolve user issues, and monitor, maintain & support the performance of business-critical programs for irregularities, security, stability and performance issues and to prevent delays, slowness and quickly resolve ongoing issues.

• To determine RCA, areas for improvement / troubleshooting and repair.

Ensuring the system programs /reports are working optimally

• Ensure maintenance of service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure development & maintenance of IT configuration items /

documents, guides conforming to ITIL / Orgs standards and policies

• Suggest best practices /improvements to enhancement /support activities
• Ensures issues, service requests, changes are identified, tracked, reported

on and resolved in a timely manner, following the standard best coding procedures

• Plans effectively, set priorities, and manages well to meet project /activity

deadlines.
