Job summary

Visara Human Capital Services is seeking a Sr SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop and implement SAP ABAP solutions. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver EDI-enabled enhancements and ensure alignment with business processes across logistics, procurement, sales and finance.

The role requires 5-10 years of experience, expertise in OData, ABAP, FICO, S/4HANA deployments, and strong communication to coordinate with program and project teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-grade SAP solutions.
• Experience with SAP ABAP development and integration in ERP environments.
• Knowledge of logistics processes across procurement, sales and distribution, production planning, quality and finance.
• Experience with EDI integration and SAP-based interfaces is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand SAP implementation/rollout/upgrade projects and EDI customer implementations.
• Collaborate with program and project teams to conceive, architect and deliver aligned solutions.
• Work with in-house and vendor teams globally to deliver and support SAP solutions.
• Lead SAP projects using ABAP standards and processes to meet objectives.
• Support AMS team to troubleshoot enhancements and incidents.
• Provide input on delivery estimation and resource planning for projects.
• Lead discovery sessions with business SMEs to deliver high-level design and documentation.

Sr ABAP Developer, Application & Technical Developer, Having knowledge on the general business process flow in the logistics modules of Procurement, Sales and Distribution, Production Planning, Quality and Finance. EDI Knowledge would be an added advantage. The role will collaborate and engage with key program and project teams across the enterprise to conceive, architect and deliver solutions aligned with business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• The role is responsible for understanding the SAP implementation / Rollout / upgrade projects and implementation of EDI customers.
• As an ABAP Developer the position will collaborate and engage with key program and project teams across the enterprise to conceive, architect and deliver solutions aligned with business requirement.
• In this role, the role owner will be responsible for working closely with in-house and vendor technical team across the globe, System integrators and project leadership to deliver/support solutions.
• Lead the development of SAP projects using the ABAP standards and processes aligned with strategic objectives to govern solutions.
• Support the established AMS team to troubleshoot/address the enhancement issues and incidents.
• Provide input on delivery estimation and resource planning to business / project lead for effective planning.

Lead discovery sessions with business subject matter experts across various technical platform areas in delivering high-level design & documentation.

Required Experience:

• College diploma or university degree, information science, management information systems, or business administration.
• 5-10 years related work experience designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirement.

• OData services
• Interface Programming
• Adobe forms / Smart forms / Scripts
• BADI / ES / Exits
• Methods / Classes
• Module Pool Programming
• Strong problem-solving and software triage skills with ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment to dissect root cause of issues creating the best solution for IFF considering quality, cost, and speed requirements.
• Knowledge of QA processes and test-driven development Quality and Security minded approach and experience in managing application data in accordance with data privacy policies
• Strong understanding of project management principles and Systems Development Life Cycle standards and familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong cognitive ability especially with respect to understanding, documenting, and describing complex technical subjects
