Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions focusing on Salesforce, API, and UI automation using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience with Salesforce projects and a strong track record in scalable automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API test suites.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Design and automate REST API test scenarios and validate backend services.
• Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to meet requirements.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain automation coverage and framework stability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications, with a strong focus on Salesforce, API, and UI automation. This role will work closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to build scalable test automation frameworks and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript, along with strong expertise in Salesforce testing and API automation. The candidate should be comfortable developing scalable automation frameworks, creating reusable test scripts, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API test suites.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Salesforce applications, including validation of customizations and integrations.
• Design and automate REST API test scenarios and validate backend services.
• Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain and improve automation coverage, framework stability, and execution efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and requirement reviews.
• Implement automation best practices, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
• Prepare test documentation, defect reports, and automation metrics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, frameworks, and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI automation using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Strong experience in Salesforce testing, including testing standard and custom Salesforce functionalities.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation of REST services.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced hands‑on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), including developing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and implementing automation best practices.
• Experience with Karate Framework for API and UI automation is an added advantage.
• Experience in migrating or modernizing automation frameworks, preferably from Karate or similar frameworks to Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver/Selenium Grid.
• Knowledge of SQL and backend data validation.
• Exposure to performance, integration, and cross-browser testing.
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure, Extent Reports, or similar.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is an added advantage.
