Job summary

Gallagher in India seeks an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions across local and cloud environments. You will work with architects, product managers, and end users to translate requirements into robust applications.

The role emphasizes integrations using APIs and middleware, strong security modeling, and adherence to coding standards, with opportunities for learning and career growth in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' Salesforce development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL and Salesforce architecture.
• Experience developing integrations using APIs and middleware platforms.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security and data models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce Flows.
• Build scalable and maintainable functionality aligned with business requirements.
• In conjunction with the Architecture team, develop reusable components and technical solutions that support long-term platform sustainability.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance and maintainability requirements.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and refine requirements.
• Participate in technical design activities and solution reviews.
• Estimate effort, identify risks and contribute to delivery planning.
• Support testing and deployment activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with the Integration team to design and develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Support integration requirements relating to key broking systems and toolsets.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and implement long-term improvements.
• Ensure integrations meet operational, security and performance requirements.
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Support warranty, enhancement and maintenance activities.
• Assist with release management and deployment processes.
• Follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Salesforce practice.
• Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities and identify opportunities for adoption.
• Support the introduction of AI-enabled Salesforce functionality where appropriate.
• Recommend improvements to platform architecture, processes and delivery practices.
• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities:

Specializes in planning, designing, and developing software systems (e.g., middleware, legacy, mainframe) and applications from concept phase to series production used in local, networked, cloudbased or internet related computer programs. Developers design, code, test, debug, and document program requirements, working with architects, product managers, and endusers in the development and enhancement of applications. Plans, designs, and develops software systems from concept phase to production in local networks or cloud based related computer programs. Codes in relevant languages. LEAD: Recognized subject matter expert in sub-function typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing large projects or processes and/or products and systems with limited oversight from management.
• Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
• Facing IT function related problems that are difficult and moderately complex.
• Serving as an expert within own discipline

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development

Design, develop and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce Flows.
