Job summary

ABB Energy Industries in India seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead Electrification solutions for the energy sector. You will support the Sales organization during proposals, describe technical aspects, determine costs, and prepare final documentation.

Role involves bid delivery, technical and commercial optimization, and delivering solutions for greenfield/brownfield projects, including E-House layouts with HV/MV/LV systems. Reports to Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• BE or B. Tech Degree ideally focused on Electrical / Electronics /Control.
• 6 to 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge and experience of Power System Study and ideas for optimization of Electrical network.
• Good knowledge of Electrical Products (Switchgear, Transformer, VFD, Control & Protection equipment Power Quality equipment, IS Limiter, DC/UPS etc).
• Knowledge of High Voltage product (220 kV, 132 kV, 66 kV etc and CRP) added advantage.
• Knowledge of Offshore / On-shore requirements including offshore class rules like ABS, DNV and market demand / requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the high performing Electrification solution team, manage productivity, drive standardization, delivery quality & competitive solution.
• Participate in Bidding strategy, cost optimization, technical Solution innovation, support project handover.
• Managing timely Technical & Commercial offer delivery, monitoring quality of bids and driving productivity.
• Delivering the Technical solution for Electrification of Green field and Brownfield Energy Industries customer.
• Driving the E-House Pre-Bid Engineering solutions to arrive at optimum E-House Layouts, and HVAC, HV, MV, LV, UPS, F&G, HVAC, Drive systems for E House application.

This Position reports to: Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization division and market and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore or Chennai, India.
