Job summary

AnyTime Diesel is seeking an IoT Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and maintain IoT solutions linking vehicle hardware with our cloud fleet management platform. You will work across embedded firmware, protocols, and cloud integration to deliver scalable, reliable systems.

You will design end-to-end data flows, optimize device lifecycles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models and ensure clean data ingestion for fleet analytics.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled IoT Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and maintain IoT solutions that connect vehicle and fuel-monitoring hardware with our cloud-based fleet management platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in IoT protocols, embedded systems, and cloud integration, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable IoT solutions from sensor to cloud, ensuring seamless integration between vehicle hardware (fuel sensors, GPS trackers, OBD devices) and the Anytime Diesel platform
• Integrate industrial and automotive sensors, microcontrollers, and gateways with the platform
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot data flow using protocols such as CAN bus, Modbus, RS485, TCP, and RTU
• Manage the full IoT device lifecycle across the fleet — provisioning, remote configuration, health monitoring, and OTA/FOTA firmware updates
• Collaborate with software, data, and operations teams to define data models and ensure clean data ingestion for fleet analytics
• Conduct testing, debugging, and performance analysis of embedded firmware and IoT systems using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Create technical documentation — architecture diagrams, API specs, and deployment guides

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end IoT solution development or implementation
• Firmware development in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems
• Strong understanding of 32-bit microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, NXP) and interfaces (UART, CAN, MODBUS, SPI, I2C, BLE, LoRa)
• Practical knowledge of MQTT and industrial/vehicle protocols (RS485, Modbus, CAN bus, UART); solid grasp of TCP/IP
• Experience with AWS IoT (IoT Core, Greengrass) or Azure IoT (IoT Hub, IoT Edge)
• Comfortable in Linux environments; proficient with Git and debugging tools (JTAG, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and cloud
