Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead IoT Embedded Applications with 810 years of experience in designing and developing embedded and edge software solutions. This role is primarily focused on software architecture, system design, and technical leadership for next-generation IoT platforms.
Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design Leadership
- Own the architecture and design of IoT Edge and Embedded software solutions.
- Drive technical design reviews and establish engineering best practices.
- Define scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for distributed IoT deployments.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Lead proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and architectural decision-making.
- Mentor engineers on software design patterns, coding standards, and system architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications Programming Languages
- Strong proficiency in:
- Go
- C/C++
- Python
- Linux Application development
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor or similar developer productivity tools.
Embedded & Platform Expertise
- Strong experience with:
- Linux-based embedded development
- Application-level debugging
- ARM and AMD processor architectures
- Multi-threaded and concurrent application design
Communication & Protocols
- Hands-on experience with:
- MQTT
- Sparkplug B
- JSON message structures and APIs
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols:
- Modbus (preferred)
DevOps & Automation
- Experience with:
- CircleCI
- Continuous Integration (CI)
- Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD)
- Automated testing frameworks
- Version control systems (Git)
Device & Fleet Management
- Experience with:
- Software packaging and deployment
- Remote device management
- Fleet monitoring and maintenance
- Canonical Snap package management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IoT, Edge Computing, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, or HVAC domains.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker/Podman).
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices for embedded devices.
- Experience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of telemetry, diagnostics, and remote software update mechanisms.
