Axis Max Life Insurance is hiring Associate Agency Development Managers for its branch offices across India. This is a full-time, on-payroll role in the Agency Sales channel, reporting to the Branch Manager / Office Head (Band 5A).

Experience: Freshers eligible. Prior sales or customer-facing exposure is an advantage, not a requirement.

Joining: Immediate. Selected candidates attend a one-week training programme. On clearing it, they receive the offer letter and join the branch from the next working day.

About the role

The agency channel sells life insurance through a team of advisors (agents). As an Associate Agency Development Manager, you recruit those advisors, train and coach them, and drive their sales so that your branch meets its business targets. It is a people‑leadership and field‑sales role: you build and run a team rather than sell alone. The channel also supports customers with policy servicing, renewals and cross‑sell, so the role carries a customer‑service responsibility alongside sales.

Advisor recruitment

• Build a pipeline of prospective advisors through referrals, local networks, activities and career seminars.
• Run career seminars for prospects and convert them into licensed advisors.
• Follow the company hiring process and norms for advisor onboarding.

Advisor development

• Ensure advisors know the products through company training and joint field work.
• Coach advisors on prospecting, calling and daily work habits.
• Plan and review activities and goals with each advisor.
• Identify training needs and work with trainers to close them.

Business targets

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly business plans for your team.
• Improve advisor productivity and policy persistency through regular reviews.
• Maintain the required product mix and follow business norms.
• Keep advisors active and productive as per the business plan.

Customer focus

• Represent the brand and follow company sales practices to build customer loyalty.
• Hold periodic customer meets to understand customer needs.
• Ensure customer queries are answered to company standards.

How success is measured

• Achievement of business plan and goal-sheet targets
• Number of advisors recruited, developed and activated as per plan
• Number of advisors active month-to-date
• Policy persistency as per the company grid
• Number of advisors qualifying for company recognition programmes (EC / MDRT)

Who should apply

• Graduate in any stream.
• Comfortable with field work, meeting people and building a network in the city.
• Good spoken communication in the local language and working English or Hindi.
• Self-driven, target-oriented and willing to lead a team of advisors.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, the branch city.
• Age and other eligibility conditions as per company policy.

Selection process

1. Screening and interview with the company hiring team.
