We are looking for a Sales Engineer Motion & Servo Automation to drive new business development across OEMs and manufacturing end-users. This is a hunter-focused field sales role where you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, understanding automation requirements, developing technical solutions, and converting prospects into customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across OEMs, machine builders, factories, and manufacturing companies.
- Develop new accounts through cold calling, visits, networking, references, and direct outreach.
- Understand customer requirements related to motion control, servo systems, and industrial automation.
- Recommend suitable technical configurations based on application requirements.
- Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals to customers.
- Work closely with customers to understand machine and production requirements.
- Handle the complete sales cycle from lead generation and requirement gathering to negotiation and order closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, machine builders, and industrial end-users.
- Coordinate with internal technical and commercial teams for quotations, solution development, and order execution.
- Regularly travel within the assigned territory for customer meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work towards business targets.
Technical Requirements:
- Understanding of pneumatic and electric motion actuators.
- Knowledge of servo motors and servo drives.
- Basic understanding of multi axis motion control and PLC integration.
- Familiarity with encoders, motion controllers, and factory automation architectures.
- Ability to understand technical applications and recommend appropriate automation solutions
What We’re Looking For:
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 0–4 years of experience in technical sales, automation sales, motion control, or a related field.
- Candidates with experience dealing with OEMs and manufacturing end-users will be preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling, customer visits, lead generation, and new account acquisition.
- Self-driven and persistent with a strong focus on business development.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Freshers with strong technical understanding and a genuine interest in industrial automation may also be considered.
