Job summary

IKEA Bengaluru is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to welcome shoppers, understand needs and guide them to solutions across home furnishing ranges.

You will maximize sales, keep the sales floor well-stocked and properly priced, and share product knowledge with customers and colleagues. You will support campaigns and digital channels to enhance the shopping experience and contribute to sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers, understand needs and recommend suitable home furnishing solutions.
• Maximize sales by understanding product range, customer behavior and local market needs.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, well-stocked and correctly priced sales area according to merchandising standards.
• Develop knowledge of IKEA products, features, benefits and available services with customers and colleagues.
• Understand department and store action plans, take responsibility for sales targets and contribute to goals.
• Inform customers about available IKEA services and sales channels for informed purchasing decisions.
• Support and implement commercial activities and campaigns within the department and across the store.
• Focus on top-selling products to maximize sales while maintaining profitability.
• Monitor sales space and stock availability and adjust as needed to ensure product availability.
• Follow IKEA's social and environmental commitments and contribute to sustainable ways of working.
