Role Description The Sales Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur. This position is responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and providing information about machinery and accessories. Daily tasks include demonstrating product features, answering customer inquiries, preparing basic quotations or sales notes, and assisting with order processing and billing. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized sales area, restocking displays, and coordinating with the warehouse team to ensure product availability. The Sales Attendant will work closely with the sales team to meet sales targets, support after-sales service coordination, and collect customer feedback to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with walk-in and repeat customers.
• Basic sales and retail skills, including product demonstration, upselling, and handling inquiries in a structured and courteous manner.
• Comfort with basic numerical tasks such as handling cash, preparing simple bills or quotations, and maintaining sales records.
• Ability to learn and understand essential product features and machinery terminology to support customer decision-making.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining displays, stock levels, and a safe, tidy work area.
• Prior experience in retail, sales, or customer-facing roles is an advantage; experience in machinery or industrial products is a plus.
• Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma or equivalent; fluency in local language and basic English communication is preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site full time, including weekends or extended hours as required by business needs.
