Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Chennai, India is seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer to promote welding equipment and solutions to existing and new customers.

The role focuses on identifying opportunities, giving technical demos, handling trials, and driving quotes to closure. A diploma or B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, plus 5–7 years welding experience, is required. You will coordinate with internal teams and strive to exceed sales targets while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Elect/Mech required.
• 5–7 years in welding field.
• Proven sales track record.
• Equipment market knowledge mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Promote Equipment’s and Solutions to Existing and new Customers
• Identify and develop new opportunities in the industry.
• Recommend appropriate welding machines for customer Applications.
• Provide technical demonstration and trials of equipment.
• Trouble shoot welding related issues and propose process improvement
• Should Focus on New customer leads, Quotes and order Closure.
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
• Analyse the territory / market’s potential, track sales and status reports
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends & continuously improve through feedback

Job Requirements

• Diploma / B Tech Engineer in Elect/Mech
• Excellent selling, negotiation, prioritizing, time management and communication skills
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
• Proven 5-7 Years work experience in welding field.
• Equipment Market knowledge is mandatory
