Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Chennai is seeking a Level 1 IT Support specialist to assist with desktop, laptop, server, and network device issues. Job Responsibilities

• Advanced Technical Support:
  • Provide Level 1 support for desktop, laptop, server, and network devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Respond to escalated support requests from Level 1 support.
• Incident and Problem Management:
  • Log and track incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Escalate critical issues to Level 2 support or external vendors as necessary.
  • Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.
• Maintenance and Monitoring:
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
  • Monitor network and server performance and address any anomalies.
  • Ensure security patches and updates are applied regularly.

Job Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • Proven experience with desktop, laptop, server, and network device support.
  • Experience with advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
