Job summary

Evio Private Limited in Mumbai seeks a Sr. Safety Officer for Electrical EPC projects. You will implement safety procedures, conduct inspections, and lead safety programs at site locations. Strong knowledge of electrical safety, PTW/LOTO, and incident investigations is required.

Experience in large EPC or MEP projects is preferred; NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification is desirable. Local candidates in Mumbai are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure safe execution of electrical works including HT/LT installations, cabling, panels, earthing, and testing & commissioning.
• Monitor safety during working at height, lifting & shifting, excavation, hot work, electrical work, and confined-space activities.
• Ensure proper use of PPE, safety tools, and equipment by all workers and subcontractors.
• Verify PTW, LOTO, work permits, and risk assessments/JSA before critical activities.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety awareness programs for site employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and prepare reports with corrective action plans.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and statutory documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve safety-related issues.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to ensure safe execution of electrical EPC projects at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure safe execution of electrical works including HT/LT installations, cable laying, cable tray installation, panels, DG, transformer, earthing, and testing & commissioning.

• Ensure proper use of PPE, safety tools, and equipment by all workers and subcontractors.
