Job summary

MIPL Bangalore is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to oversee safety across construction and interior fit-out project sites in Bengaluru and on project sites. • Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Certification in Safety Management (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ADIS, or equivalent preferred).
• Good knowledge of construction and interior fit-out safety standards.
• Familiarity with statutory safety regulations and permit systems.
• Strong communication, reporting, and training skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety procedures, policies, and EHS standards.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards at project sites.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and staff.
• Conduct safety induction programs and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, permits, and incident records.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire safety measures, and first-aid arrangements.
• Monitor work permits for activities such as hot work, work at height, electrical work, and confined space work.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety procedures, policies, and EHS standards.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards at project sites.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers and staff.
• Conduct safety induction programs and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, permits, and incident records.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and client safety requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire safety measures, and first-aid arrangements.
• Monitor work permits for activities such as hot work, work at height, electrical work, and confined space work.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and contractors regarding safety-related matters.
• Conduct periodic audits and submit safety reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Certification in Safety Management (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ADIS, or equivalent preferred).
• Good knowledge of construction and interior fit-out safety standards.

Preferred Experience
