Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India seeks a Safety Engineer / HSE Officer for Dahej, Hazira and Nagothane sites. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines on construction sites, particularly high-rise and metro projects, and on implementing preventive safety measures.

Candidates should have 4–5 years of relevant experience in construction or oil & gas, with a Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering and ADIS/PDIS certification.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in Construction/oil & gas industries.
• Experience with MEP, industrial or metro construction.
• Knowledge of applicable EHS laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
• Initiates and organises EHS training of employees and workers.
• Conducts risk assessments and enforces preventive measures.
• Inspects site and personnel for PPE and safety compliance.
• Trains and conducts emergency drills.
• Investigates accidents and near-misses to identify root causes.
• Ensures tools and equipment are safe and appropriate for use.

We have opening for HSE / Safety Engineer role for Dahej / Hazira & Nagothane location

Position :

Safety Engineer / Safety officer / HSE Engineer

Locations :

• 1.) Dahej
• 2.) Hazira
• 3.) Nagothane

Contract :

1 year contract on 3rd party payroll (Manpower Group Payroll)

Exp Required :

4 years - 5 years relevant exp in Construction / Oil & Gas Industry.

Competent in managing Environment, Health & Safety related activities at the construction site(especially High Rise Project / Metro) with basic knowledge of legal requirements and other legislation.

Qualification :

• Diploma / B.E / BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engg plus ADIS / PDIS certification

Role Purpose:

Safety Officer / Safety Engineer responsible for ensuring compliance with Environment, Health & Safety guidelines. The candidate must focus on prevention methods by implementing measures to minimise hazards on site, and should have the following years of experience in MEP, industrial, or metro construction work.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed
• Initiate and organise EHS training of employees and workmen
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures
• Inspect the site and the work of personnel to identify issues (e.g. PPE violations, etc..
• Trains and carries out emergency response drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
