Job summary

NTF India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to implement EHS practices and ensure statutory compliance across the manufacturing plant.

The role covers hazard assessment, incident investigation, training, permit to work, audits, and emergency preparedness with a focus on fire safety and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Experience of 3–8 years in safety roles within manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Qualifications include B.Tech or equivalent (PDIS/ADIS/DFS).

Responsibilities

• Identify unsafe conditions and acts; coordinate with departments to rectify.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment for machines/processes.
• Investigate accidents and share findings in safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety laws and guidelines.
• Plan and conduct EHS training and awareness programs for staff.
• Issue work permits and verify compliance with permit conditions.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings on a regular basis.
• Perform safety audits and checks on a routine basis.
• Collect daily, weekly and monthly activity reports for safety.
• Conduct environmental monitoring, health checks, external safety audits and health programs.
• Promote safe work practices and proper use of PPE at all stages.
• Conduct drills for emergencies and emergencies preparedness.
• Maintain knowledge of fire systems, extinguishers, pumps, lights, detectors, sprinklers and PPEs.
• Know Factory Rules, NBC, NFPA guidelines, etc.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

Principal Responsibilities :-

• 1 Identification of Unsafe Conditions & Unsafe Act and rectify with the help of concern department requirements.
• 2 Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment for the machines and process.
• 3 Conduct Accident Investigation and update same in safety meetings.
• 4 Comply for the legal requirement related to Environment, Health & Safety.
• 5 Conduct Training and awareness program related to EHS to create the awareness among the employees.
• 6 Issue the work permits and check the compliance as per work permit.
• 7 Conduct Safety Committee Meetings on regular basis.
• 8 Conduct audit and safety checks on regular basis.
• 9 Collecting daily, Weekly and monthly activities Report.
• 10 Conduct the Environmental Monitoring, Health Check, External Safety Audits & Health Programs.
• 11 Implement safe work practices and use of PPE at all stages.
• 12 Conduct Mock Drills on the Emergency situations.
• 13 Knowledge about Fire system, Fire extinguishers, fire pumps, emergency lights, safety tools, smoke detectors, sprinkler system, Emergency preparedness, safety tools & Fire PPEs.
• 14 Proper Knowledge of Factory Rule, NBC, NFPA Guidelines etc

Secondary Responsibilities :-

• 1 Ensure all Legal activities related to EHS.
• 2 PPE Adhere among the plant employees.
