Job summary

Layam is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety, compliance and environmental initiatives in its operations in India. You will implement EHS policies, conduct risk assessments, audits, CAPA and ensure statutory compliance including PF, factories act and fire safety.

You will manage emergency preparedness, PTW, hazardous waste handling, EHS training and environmental reporting, while supporting ISO 14001/45001 and ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading EHS management and statutory compliance.
• Strong focus on risk assessments, audits and CAPA processes.
• Knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations in India.

Responsibilities

• Implement EHS policies, SOPs, safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Conduct HIRA, Risk Assessments, Safety Inspections, Audits and CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Fire Safety and statutory EHS requirements.
• Investigate accidents/near misses and conduct RCA & corrective actions.
• Manage Emergency Preparedness, Fire Safety, Mock Drills, PPE and First Aid.
• Conduct Safety Induction, Toolbox Talks and EHS Training.
• Monitor contractor safety and PTW compliance.
• Manage CTE, CTO, OCMMS and Hazardous Waste compliance.
• Support ISO 14001/45001, environmental audits, ESG and GHG reporting.
• Ensure REACH, RoHS, PFAS, Packaging and Chemical Compliance.
• Maintain SDS, statutory records, EHS reports and compliance documentation.
