Job summary

Coreehs is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement and monitor HSE requirements at the worksite in accordance with approved procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.

The role involves overseeing Permit to Work activities, conducting HIRA/JSA/JHA, and ensuring proper permit closure. You will identify unsafe conditions and review risk assessments whenever scope or conditions change to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor company, client, and statutory HSE requirements at the worksite.
• Ensure all activities are carried out as per approved HSE procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Monitor and control Permit to Work activities, including Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Excavation, Electrical, Work at Height, and Line Breaking.
• Verify that all required precautions and permits are in place before starting work.
• Ensure proper permit closure after completion of activities.
• Conduct HIRA, JSA/JHA, risk assessments, and task-specific safety reviews.
• Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and implement suitable control measures.
• Review risk assessments whenever there is a change in scope, equipment, manpower, or work conditions.
• Monitor activities involving hydrocarbons, flammable materials, pressure systems, pipelines, tanks, vessels, and process equipment.
• Ensure proper controls for hydrocarbon leakage, fire, explosion, toxic gas exposure, and other process-related hazards.
• Monitor hazardous-area requirements and ensure suitable equipment is used.
