Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in India is seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environment (HSE) professional to oversee safety policy implementation and compliance at the plant. The role includes coordinating with authorities and auditors, and driving incident investigations.

The incumbent will conduct risk assessments, safety audits, training, and emergency planning, while maintaining documentation and safety dashboards for management review.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor plant safety policies in line with statutory and corporate HSE standards.
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, State Safety Rules, Fire Safety, and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government authorities, safety inspectors, and auditors.
• Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety audits.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain incident records and safety performance reports.
• Conduct safety induction and regular training programs for employees and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness campaigns, mock drills, fire drills, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Ensure contractor safety management and compliance at site.
• Oversee fire detection, firefighting systems, and emergency evacuation plans.
• Coordinate with external fire departments and emergency response teams.
• Lead emergency response during incidents and drills.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, MSDS, SOPs, and statutory registers.
• Prepare monthly safety reports, KPIs, and compliance dashboards for management review.
