Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a Safety Management & Compliance professional to implement and monitor plant safety policies in line with statutory and corporate HSE standards, ensuring compliance with local laws.

You will coordinate with authorities, conduct risk assessments and safety audits, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to improve safety performance. Responsibilities include training, fire safety, documentation, and reporting for management review.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor plant safety policies in line with statutory and corporate HSE standards.
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, State Safety Rules, Fire Safety, and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government authorities, safety inspectors, and auditors.
• Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety audits.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain incident records and safety performance reports.
• Conduct safety induction and regular training programs for employees and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness campaigns, mock drills, fire drills, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Ensure contractor safety management and compliance at site.
• Oversee fire detection, firefighting systems, and emergency evacuation plans.
• Coordinate with external fire departments and emergency response teams.
• Lead emergency response during incidents and drills.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, MSDS, SOPs, and statutory registers.
• Prepare monthly safety reports, KPIs, and compliance dashboards for management review.
