Job summary

Navin Fluorine International in Dahej, India, seeks a seasoned Safety Leader to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for a chemical manufacturing setup. You will drive Process Safety Management, lead investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance across local and federal agencies.

The role requires BE Chemical with PDIS/ADIS, 12–15 years of relevant experience, and desirable MTech Chemical.

Qualifications

  • 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in Chemical manufacturing set-up.
  • Qualification: BE chemical + PDIS/ADIS
  • Desirable: M-Tech Chemical

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the unique risks associated with chemical manufacturing.
  • Ensure all safety programs are up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to manage identified risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to the chemical industry.
  • Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientation, ongoing training, and emergency response training.
  • Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the plant to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained on emergency protocols.
  • Work closely with plant management, engineering, and operations teams to integrate safety into all aspects of plant operations.
