Job summary

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals (DFPCL) seeks a senior safety professional to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies in a chemical production environment. The role includes fire safety management, audits, inspections, and training initiatives to ensure compliance and preparedness.

The ideal candidate holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering with an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or NEBOSH, and possesses 10–15 years of relevant experience in the chemical

Qualifications

• B.E. (Chemical) and Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety/NEBOSH.
• Knowledge of PSM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify Hazards and assess risk using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
• Ensure mitigation measures for fire or chemical emergencies.
• Carry out Fire Safety Inspections, surveys, audits and certification from competent person.
• Provide Fire Safety Training to all employees.
• Ensure transportation safety for raw materials and product dispatch; arrange tanker drivers training.

Role & responsibilities

• Identify Hazards and assess risk involved in the process and associated activities by using suitable quantitative and qualitative techniques
• Ensure mitigation measures in healthy condition for controlling fire or chemical emergency.
• Carry out Fire Safety Inspections, survey & audits, certification from competent person.
• Fire Safety Training to all
• Ensure Transportation safety for raw materials and product despatch, arrange tanker drivers training for safety.
• Participate MARG activities.
• Statutory compliance check & validation.
• Ensure Emergency preparedness & control.
• Legal requirement assessment and compliance.
• Procurement/ issue and inspect Fire safety gadgets.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E. (Chemical) + Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety/NEBOSH. Knowledge of PSM prefered

10-15 Years of relevant experience

Candidate must have Chemical industry exposure.
