Job summary

Chola MS Risk service is seeking a Safety Manager for Ambattur, Chennai to lead Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives on site. You will ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations, conduct regular site inspections, and drive a proactive safety culture across projects.

The role requires BE/BTECH and NEBOSH/ADIS/PDIS qualifications, with proven experience in fit-out and data centers, coordinating PPE use, emergencies, and safety reporting.

Qualifications

• Education Qualification - Only BE/BTECH from approved institute.
• Safety Qualification-ADIS / PDIS / NEBOSH
• Must have experience in Fit out & Data center.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plan.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local construction safety regulations, and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities including.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on site.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to improve site safety performance.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for management.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and zero-incident environment.
