Job summary

Chola MS Risk service in Ambala, Haryana, is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans on construction sites. The role requires ensuring compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and company standards, plus leading safety meetings and training.

The candidate will conduct daily site inspections, manage hazardous activities, and coordinate emergency procedures while maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and collaborating with project teams to improve safety

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech from approved institute.
• ADIS/PDIS/NEBOSH safety qualifications.
• Experience in managing construction & Process Safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans on site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/local safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuations.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports and compliance documentation.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to improve site safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plan.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local construction safety regulations, and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities including:
• Work at height
• Tower crane operations
• Lifting and rigging
• Scaffolding
• Excavation and confined space entry
• Electrical works
• Hot work activities
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on site.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to improve site safety performance.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for management.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and zero-incident environment.
