• Minimum 7–9 years on residential/commercial building projects.
• Preference for contracting/PMC company experience.
• Engineering or science degree with ADIS/NEBOSH/ISO certifications.

Responsibilities

• Safety/HSE management on residential and commercial building projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/local safety standards and building codes.
• Identify and mitigate risks; conduct and review risk assessments.
• Perform site inspections of equipment, personnel and materials.
• Deliver safety training and orientation programs for workers.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and near-misses; prepare reports.
• Maintain safety documentation and reporting systems.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and emergency procedures.
• Manage subcontractor safety compliance on site.
• Prepare action plans to implement Health and Safety Group goals.
• Enforce safety policies and promote a culture of safety.
• Develop/Review SOPs for isolation, fire safety, and permits.
• Track corrective and preventive actions and audit safety performance.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and implement improvements.

Job Description

The scope of services includes Project Management works for Buildings Project, based at Mumbai, India. Role extensively involves supporting client in review and supervision works.

Responsibilities

• Work experience in Safey/HSE with Residential/Commercial building projects
• Compliance & Regulations: Ensuring all work meets OSHA, local, and federal safety standards, as well as building codes.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying potential hazards, conducting, and reviewing, risk assessments before and during projects.
• Site Inspections: Performing daily inspections of equipment, personnel, and materials to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Training & Education: Conducting safety training sessions, orientations, and meetings to enhance safety awareness among workers.
• Incident Management: Investigating accidents, injuries, and near-misses, and preparing required reports to prevent future occurrences.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
• Safety Planning: Developing site-specific safety plans, emergency evacuation plans, and fire safety protocols.
• Subcontractor Management: Ensuring all subcontractors adhere to the site's safety regulations.
• Prepare action plan to ensure the correct and full implementation of the Health and Safety Group
• Management Policy, as well as including strategic HSE goals and targets, striving to achieve or maintain the zero-accident goal.
• Enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Develops/review safety operational procedures covering mechanical/electrical isolation, fire
• Accident prevention at workplace. & accident Investigation and Reporting.
• Monitoring of Corrective and Preventive Actions.
• Inspection and identification of unsafe act, unsafe condition.
• Implementation of Work permits system.
• Preparation of Safety checklist for critical operations.
• Conducting EHS training for staff and workers
• Conducting Mock Drills on various topics (i.e Fire, fall of person, Structure collapsed etc.)
• Maintenance & Monitoring of Fire Fighting System.
• Selection and upgradation of Personal Protective Equipment's.
• Maintaining safety equipment & providing personnel safety equipment to employees.

Qualifications

• Total Experience: 12-15 years. Out of which minimum 7-9 years on Residential/Commercial building projects
• Shall have completed a project from start to end.
• Preference shall be given to work experience with the contracting/ PMC company.
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. or B.Sc.) / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) or Bachelor of Science (B.SC.) from a recognized institution.
• Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) approved by Board of Technical Education. In lieu of ADIS, ADIS equivalent qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma may be considered in exceptional cases.
• Certification Course in Environment, Health & Safety, and Environment Health & Safety Management System (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), ESG, EHS Audit & documentation.
