Job summary

Chola MS Risk service in Mumbai (Powai) is looking for a Safety Manager to lead HSE planning and ensure on-site safety performance. The role requires a BE/BTech and safety qualifications, with at least 3 years of experience in high-rise building projects. You will conduct inspections, lead toolbox talks, and coordinate emergency drills.

Qualifications

Roles & Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor the project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plan.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, local construction safety regulations, and company safety standards.

Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.

Monitor high-risk activities including:

Work at height

Tower crane operations

Lifting and rigging

Scaffolding

Excavation and confined space entry

Electrical works

Hot work activities

Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on site.

Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation plans.

Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to improve site safety performance.

Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.

Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for management.

Promote a proactive safety culture and zero-incident environment.
