Job summary

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety Policy Implementation: Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies for construction projects.
• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement control measures.

Role and Responsibility

1. Health & Safety Policy Implementation

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety (HSE) policies, procedures, and guidelines for construction projects.
• Ensure alignment with local safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct safety inductions and training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors at the construction site.

2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on‑site.
• Implement control measures to mitigate identified risks and ensure safe working conditions.

3. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
• Liaise with local government authorities, labor departments, and regulatory bodies to meet compliance requirements.
• Monitor and ensure that site activities, machinery, and equipment comply with safety standards.

4. Incident and Accident Investigation

• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near‑misses on the construction site.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend correcve actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain incident records and analyse data to idenfy paerns or areas for improvement.

5. Safety Inspections and Audits

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Identify and report unsafe acts and conditions, and implement corrective actions in coordination with project teams.
• Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear are provided and utilized properly.

6. Training & Awareness

• Develop and deliver safety training programs, including first aid, fire safety, equipment handling, and site‑specific hazards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety drills on a regular basis.
• Promote safety culture by fostering safety awareness among workers, contractors, and staff through workshops and communicaon.

7. Contractor and Vendor Safety Management

• Review and approve safety plans submied by contractors and vendors.
• Monitor the safety performance of subcontractors and ensure their compliance with site safety policies.
• Conduct safety evaluaons of contractors and provide recommendaons for improvement.

8. Documentaon and Reporng

• Maintain and update safety logs, checklists, and safety‑related documentaon.
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to management, highlighng key safety metrics and areas of concern.
• Ensure accurate reporng and record-keeping for audits, inspecons, and incidents.

9. Emergency Preparedness & Response

• Ensure that emergency evacuaon plans, fire drills, and first aid procedures are in place and well-communicated.
• Organize periodic emergency drills to assess readiness and improve response mes.

10. Safety Program Connuous Improvement

• Monitor and evaluate the effecveness of safety programs and suggest improvements as needed.
• Stay up to date with the latest safety technologies, industry trends, and regulaons to ensure connuous improvement.
• Encourage proacve safety measures to prevent injuries, such as behavior-based safety programs.

Preferred Candidate

B.E./Diploma/Any Graduate + ADIS + NEBOSH +10-15 years of construction safety experience in high‑rise residential/commercial projects + strong statutory compliance knowledge.
