Job summary

Godha Infrastructions India seeks an experienced EHS professional to implement and monitor safety policies on construction sites. You will conduct daily inspections, enforce PPE usage, and lead toolbox talks and inductions to foster a safety-first culture.

The role requires 37 years of relevant site safety experience and mandatory NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications. Preference for candidates with commercial or civil construction exposure and strong knowledge of high-risk procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 37 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent safety certification is Mandatotary
• Knowledge of PPE, work-at-height safety, scaffolding, lifting operations, electrical safety, fire safety, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety policies, procedures, and EHS standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, goggles, etc.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness programs.
• Monitor work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, electrical works, hot works, and other high-risk activities.
• Ensure proper installation and maintenance of safety barricades, signage, access routes, and warning systems.
• Verify scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment, and other safety-critical equipment before use.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and checklists.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors, and workers to resolve safety issues.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with project safety requirements.
• Conduct emergency preparedness drills and ensure availability of fire extinguishers and first-aid facilities.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, permits, and training records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian safety regulations and project-specific EHS requirements.
