Job summary

Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. (CEG) seeks a Safety Engineer for a Mumbai Metro/Infrastructure project to supervise site safety, perform inspections, and ensure HSE compliance across activities.

You will lead toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations with contractors and project teams. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) with 3+ years of safety experience, or a Diploma with 5+ years in Safety Engineering on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience with B.E./B.Tech or 5 years with Diploma in Safety Engineering.
• Experience in Metro, Railway, Elevated Structures, Underground Metro, Depot, Flyover, Bridge, or other major infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all site safety activities.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, statutory requirements, and project safety standards.
• Monitor contractor safety practices and work permits.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Investigate incidents/near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at site.
• Maintain safety records, reports, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve safety issues.
